Imsys in co-operation with ABB
Upplands Vasby, Sweden, October 25, 2000, Imsys have been awarded a pilot order from ABB for a new integrated platform concept. Imsys will design and deliver a new modular evaluation platform based on its recently introduced Java-processor -the Cjip. The platform is designed to be adaptable to various product needs. The development is already under way and delivery will be done this fall. Included in the agreement is also delivery of Imsys Developer, an integrated development environment, IDE, for embedded systems design as well as education of ABB staff.
"We will evaluate Imsys offering for use in different products within the ABB group. The cost for developing new products in the industry has to a high degree been associated with the software. By using Java, combined with reuse of existing code we gain the possibilities to a faster development time and thereby reach a more rapid time-to-market", says Anders Rosvall, Technical Area Responsible, ABB.
"We are proud to have been awarded this order from ABB, a company with a global leadership, acting in areas that fits our specific processor technology extremely well", adds Stefan Blixt, Imsys CEO.
