Two additional UARTs mounted on A SIMM card which fits into the second SIMM slot on a STEP socket board.

Comes with two DB9 serial RS232 adapters; one DCE (female) and one DTE (male), including 12-inch ribbon cable with 2mm receptacles. The DB9 face can be mounted in a thin enclosure panel by means of the 4-40 jackscrews (2 x 0.125" dia holes 0.984" on center).

JSimm Prototyping Board

A board which fits into the additional socket on a Tilt400Pro socket board. JSimm offers prototyping both through-hole and SMT. The board has a array of plated through holes plus a unique Surface Mount prototype area. All SMT pads are brought out to through hole pads. Copper planes for 5V on the top and ground on the bottom. Exposed diamonds for easy soldering to them. Accepts wide and narrow SOICs and many other SMT components as well as DIP PLCC (in sockets)DIP and ZIP. Pads for RJ12 and 5x2 100-mil right angle headers. Perfect for prototyping 1Wire network (use RJ12 for the 1Wire net) and serial I/O devices (the 5x2 headers can cable directly to DB9s) CAN (using the CANOpen 5x2 pinout).
