SNAP Performace Benchmark
SNAPs' 72 pin SIMM form factor
plugs into most TINI® pin compatible socket boards. A comparison
between the two platforms is therefore of interest. The diagram below is based on data that Systronix®
have measured and made available on the web:
The factors within each group of operations above have
been averaged using the geometric medium, which is generally preferrable
when averaging benchmark numbers of widely different sizes. The over-all
geometric average of the seven groups is 18.
Note that the cost difference falls with higher quantities, and that the SNAP design is actually less expensive than TINI® if you buy the components (1k quantity) and implement the design on your own circuit board. Please contact us for for further details.
